Agreement signed with ProCredit Bank for the programme EU–KfW Western Balkans Guarantee

ProCredit Bank is the third bank in the EU–KfW Western Balkans Guarantee programme, following OTP banka Srbija and 3 Banka, and support for domestic micro, small and medium-sized enterprises under the programme reaches EUR 80 million.

The Serbian Entrepreneurship Foundation (SEF) and ProCredit Bank have signed a partnership agreement under the EU–KfW Western Balkans Guarantee – Supporting Entrepreneurs’ and MSMEs’ Resilience programme. The credit support amounts to EUR 25 million.

The programme is jointly supported by the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through German Development Bank (KfW), as part of a broader engagement in support of private-sector development and economic resilience in the Western Balkans. In Serbia it is implemented by SEF, in cooperation with commercial banks and other partner institutions.

The aim of the programme is to make it easier for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs to obtain credit – with longer repayment periods and less restrictive collateral requirements. Particular emphasis is placed on manufacturing and on enterprises outside the major centres, where access to finance has traditionally been hardest.

The EU–KfW Western Balkans Guarantee programme contributes to strengthening Serbia’s financial sector, supporting private-sector development and further aligning domestic policies with European standards – on Serbia’s path towards European Union membership.
